Historical Research

1. Enter a Canadian location and a completed historical date.
2. Select one to three relevant perils and adjust the search options if needed.
3. Search, then review the station identity, distance, observation period, sources and missing fields.
4. Check the official observations and regional reporting separately. Automated assessments are secondary interpretation of the retrieved evidence.
5. Use Save as PDF to print the complete report, or copy the claims note.

ECCC hourly observations use local standard time (LST), which does not move forward for daylight saving time. A displayed offset, where supplied, identifies the station's standard time. Do not assume the browser's time zone matches the observation record.

A station record does not prove conditions at the exact loss location. An empty result, missing observation or failed request does not establish that an event did not occur. Regional reports are supporting material and may refer to a different place or time.

Active Alerts

Active Alerts shows current bulletins and wildfire records, with official sources and freshness notices. Search a location, filter hazards and open a bulletin on the list or map. A warning area describes potential hazards across a region; it is not a record of uniform damage. Forecast and reporting tabs are separate from official bulletin text.
