How to build a screening scenario

Five simple steps

  1. AreaFind a place and draw one analysis boundary. Move or edit it as needed.
  2. EventChoose Current / recent, Historical date, or Custom scenario, then review its source evidence or assumptions.
  3. FootprintDraw assumed low-to-severe affected zones. Where zones overlap, the highest severity wins.
  4. ExposureLoad population, dwellings, and mapped infrastructure, then calculate the affected subset.
  5. ReviewCreate a snapshot or choose Save PDF. In the browser dialog, select “Save to PDF”.

What the result means

Population and dwelling estimates use 2021 Statistics Canada dissemination areas selected by a representative centroid. Infrastructure uses returned OpenStreetMap feature points or centres. Riskademy intersects those records with the severity zones, counting overlaps once at the highest severity. These are screening estimates—not predictions of damage, claims, coverage, reserves, or financial loss.
